Walden is a lakeside community located on a tree lined peninsula on Lake Conroe with over 5,200 dwellings. This friendly neighborhood was built around a 21,000 acre lake that was completed in 1973, and approximately 5,000 acres of Lake Conroe are located within the Sam Houston National Forest.
When you drive through Walden you will find estates, single family homes, patio homes, townhouses, and condominiums. The homes are well kept, the landscaping is always impeccable, and street sweepers come through regularly. There are crosswalks for bikers, walkers, and joggers and sidewalks along the main road through Walden, making it easy to get outside and enjoy the community.
Marinas, Golf, Fitness & Recreation
Walden offers impressive amenities for residents who love the lake and an active lifestyle. The community includes a privately owned 536 slip marina as well as a privately owned 18 hole golf course at The Walden Golf Club. The Racquet Club and Fitness Center features a 16 court tennis facility, pickleball, an Olympic sized lap pool, a fitness center, and hike and bike trails located throughout the neighborhood.

Families in Walden have convenient access to highly rated Montgomery ISD schools. Madeley Ranch Elementary is located within the neighborhood, and it is common to see children dropped off at school on golf carts. Montgomery Jr. High is about 4 miles from Walden, and Montgomery High School is approximately 8 miles away.
Location & Nearby Downtown Montgomery
Walden is located off Highway 105 and Walden Road. The neighborhood is about 6 miles from Downtown Montgomery, which offers incredible restaurants, wine bars, coffee shops, local shops and boutiques.
