"March 3-4: Attend community entertainment
The Walden Follies is hosting its 40th annual community event. The event will include dinner and entertainment that showcases singing, dances and skits. There will be two dinner shows. 5:30 p.m. $45. Walden Yacht Club, 13101 Melville Drive, Montgomery. www.waldenfollies40.com
March 4: Run for charity
Runners can support Meals on Wheels Montgomery County through a 5K and 10K walk and run fundraiser. The event is family-friendly. March 4: March for our military
The Montgomery Texas Ruck Club is hosting a 5K march to honor the military. The march will take place throughout Historic Downtown Montgomery, and will begin and end at Ransom’s Steakhouse. After the march, there will be raffles, a silent auction and live entertainment. 9 a.m. (check-in), 10 a.m. (march begins). $50 (registration fee). Ransom’s Steakhouse, 300 C. B. March 4: Watch a fishing tournament
The Yeti Lake Conroe Big Bass Classic fishing tournament started Thursday. Special weekend events in partnership with the classic include live music Saturday with the Chad Cooke Band playing at Papas on the Lake. Fishing tournament starts at 6:30 a.m. Live music kicks off at 8:30 p.m. Free. Papas on the Lake, 14632 Hwy. 105, Montgomery. www.visitconroe.com
March 4: Drink craft beer
The Craft Beverage Festival 2023 event will feature the St. Vincent Blessing of the Wines. The event will include craft beverages for tasting, such as beer and wine, and live music. 11 a.m.-7 p.m. $30. Heritage Place, 500 Collins St., Montgomery. www.visitconroe.com
March 4-5: Visit a home show
The Montgomery County Home and Outdoor Living Show is returning for its fifth year. The show allows attendees to brainstorm home ideas by meeting home experts, taking workshops and learning from landscapers. 9 a.m.-6 p.m. (Sat.), 10 a.m.-5 p.m. (Sun.). $8 (online), $10 (at the door), free (children under 12). March 4-5: Shop, network with Jeep fans
At the Lone Star Jeep Invasion, attendees will get to shop or talk to Jeep vendors, enter raffles, and network with other fans. The 19th Annual Nature Fest at Jesse H Jones Park & Nature Center is Saturday from 10-2 and will have over FORTY educational exhibits. This event is free!
Winding Creek Apiary and Bee Supply is hosting Queen Rearing with Earnie Welch. Saturday at 10:30am. Tickets are $15 and let me tell you we have a hive with a mean queen bee so the whole hive is pretty mean. Queen bee education is important!
